Better Water Alaska‘s reverse osmosis water treatment uses changes in pressure to filter out chemicals and contaminants from your water supply. Over the years, this method has become much more advanced than before, and modern treatment solutions deliver the highest quality water to your home or business for years with relatively little maintenance.

As pressure is applied to your water in the reverse osmosis water treatment system, it is pressed through a semi-permeable membrane that filters out hard water, bacteria, and anything that causes pH imbalance.

As a result, you get:

  • Water that’s clear and looks amazing
  • High-quality water that tastes great
  • Water that’s free from any foul odor

Most importantly, you’ll have your local water professional helping you get the high-quality water your family deserves AND the service to back it up for years to come.

You’ll Have Options:

  • We can typically connect to your fridge for delicious cold water and crystal clear ice cubes
  • Unique and elegant faucet styles such as black faucets, bronze, brush nickel, chrome, or white.
  • The system is expandable if additional filters need to be added.
  • Additional filter selections are available, including higher capacity sediment, or a Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) rated filter.
  • We specialize in drilling through granite, quartz, quartzite, and other hard rock countertops, at no additional charge!

So excited about our new water system. Better Water Alaska did such a great and thorough job. Living in Big Lake/Houston area, I never thought we would have drinkable water! No more orange bathtub, toilets, etc. Couldn't be happier, and just really great amazing customer service.

Response from the owner:Thank you Jessica, we always aim to provide 5 star service. We are really proud of our team, and we're glad you had a great experience. Thank you for your business, and the great review!
Better Water Alaska completely remodeled my water set up. My water was gross. My showers and toilets were turning orange, my kids couldnt even take a bath. I had lost all hope until I found this company. Another company came prior to them and offered me a cheap system but after water testing was done by BWA I realized what they were offering me was no real solution at all, I would have wasted money and gotten nowhere. My unit arrived quickly and was installed in one day. They are fast and efficient, very professional and tentative to my questions and concerns. I would highly recommend BWA to anyone who has water issues. Hands down, 5stars from me! Thank you BWA!
Response from the owner:Thank you so much for the great review, and for trusting us to fix your water. We are glad you're happy with your next system.
Great customer service. Installer was on time, friendly, and very helpful with answering questions. Unit price and installation cost were very reasonable.
Response from the owner:Thanks Garrett, we hope you enjoy your SoftPro. We appreciate your business, and would be glad to talk with you if you have any additional questions.

What is reverse osmosis?

Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a water purification process that uses a partially permeable membrane to remove unwanted molecules and particles from drinking water.

What does reverse osmosis remove?

Reverse Osmosis removes common chemical contaminants such as:
  • sodium
  • chloride
  • copper
  • chromium
  • lead
Some systems may also reduce:
  • arsenic
  • fluoride
  • radium
  • sulfate
  • calcium
  • magnesium
  • potassium
  • nitrate
  • phosphorous

How much is reverse osmosis system?

A Reverse Osmosis System cost depends on the type of system you’re looking to purchase. Reverse osmosis systems range from $250 to $7,500. Whole house reverse osmosis systems range from $1,000 – $18,000. System costs depend on a number of factors but are most closely tied to the amount of water that needs to be filtered per day.

How to remineralize water after reverse osmosis?

You can remineralize water after reverse osmosis filtering through various methods. Most modern reverse osmosis systems include a remineralization tank that takes care of adding minerals back into your water for you.

How to make reverse osmosis water alkaline?

You can make reverse osmosis water alkaline by adding alkaline minerals and raising the ph of your filtered water.

What is not removed by reverse osmosis?

What is not removed by reverse osmosis may surprise some. While RO filters will reduce a wide range of contaminants from your water, it will not remove some pesticides, solvents, volatile organic chemicals VOCs (like chlorine and radon), dissolved gases (ammonia, carbon dioxide, oxygen, hydrogen sulfide), and organic contaminants (such as formaldehyde, methanol, acetonitrile, methyl ethyl ketone, etc.).

How much water does reverse osmosis waste?

Reverse osmosis wastes on average about 4 gallons of water per gallon made. If you use 3 gallons a day for drinking, cooking and internal consumption, that means you will waste about 12 gallons, making a reverse osmosis system about 25% efficient. Comparatively, a washing machine and dishwasher use electricity and hot water (which takes energy to heat) and waste every gallon of water they use.
