At Better Water Alaska, we are proud to partner with the Department of Defense’s SkillBridge program, offering military members a unique opportunity to transition into a civilian career in the water treatment industry. Through this program, you can spend the last six months of your military service gaining valuable hands-on experience with our team. During this time, the military will continue to cover your salary, medical, and dental benefits, while we provide on-the-job training. Upon successful completion, you will be offered a position with our company, paving the way for a rewarding career in the water treatment industry.

Applicant opportunities (please select all that you are interested in)
- Sales: We are looking for salespeople in Kenai as well as Fairbanks. Water treatment sales can be highly rewarding as you get to make a living helping others while earning a great income. Salespeople typically make between $75,000 to $200,000 a year, depending on the area, dedication, sales ratios, and ability.
- Installations: The majority of water treatment technician wages in the United States range from $19.71 to $28.12 per hour, with some as high as $35.58 and as low as $13.94. Most companies in Alaska pay $16.75-$20 an hour. We use a rate and rank scale similar to that of the military. Installation Specialist 3rd class starts at $21.50 an hour. Each increase in rank increases your hourly pay by $3.50; for example, an Installation Specialist 2nd class makes $25 an hour.
- Operations and Administration: Our location in Wasilla has currently filled all positions in this category. As previously mentioned, we are looking to expand into Fairbanks and the Kenai. We will need store managers, as well as operations and administrative positions. Please let us know if you are interested in relocating to these areas.
